Statement ruching - check

Statement pleated sleeves - check

Statement square 1930's neckline (modified from a different 1930s pattern) - check

Statement vintage buttons (and a top shot of those gorgeous pleats) - check

A battle hard fought and well won - if only my photos of Peggy's modelling, did it justice!

The jumper pattern can be found here

All in all, a statement piece. I much prefer the square neckline to the v-neck of the original. I have also pleated the sleeve head, where I would usually just gather it. The buttons are (I'm told) pre-1950 vintage. Knit in stylecraft 4ply acrylic (colour - raspberry) instead of the elusive 3ply, I went up a needle size from 3mm and 3.25mm to 3.25mm and 3.75mm. This meant that it came out at a healthy 38-40" chest instead of a 33-35".
