Alfie redux

.... well that didn't go according to plan

The yarn overs just looked too 'loopy' and uneven for my liking.

I can't be the only person who struggles with this. In a lace pattern they look fine, but if I try to create an even line, it looks like a drunk chimp has been at the knitting.

So down it came and is now creating this piece of loveliness

This is such a simple 2 row repeat pattern that creates a crescent shape. So it should satisfy my bandana craving.
I am using Stylecraft 'Dream Catcher' double knit yarn and 4mm needles.

I started of with 1 stitch and gradually increased to 200. But it was all garter stitch so it was really quite a brainless knit.
Fyi, despite the lovely sunset effect, 'Dream Catcher' splits like a ****.
Also, I decided to pull it down and remove all the yellow stripes - they were just so different from the tonality of the other colours.
Anyway, this may have kept me occupied whilst I recover from my pre-Christmas hip replacement, but now it is finished.
Time to move onto a project for Mr B.
