The tie turned out to be not quite long enough for a bow, but a really neat tie, finished with a vintage scarf loop

look at the puff in those sleeves

Knit in stylecraft acrylic 4ply in lavender, on 3.25mm and 3.75mm needles instead of 2.75mm and 3.25mm. It came out at a 40" chest tather than the original 36" chest, even without the stretch factor.
